i am very nearly done with charles, and it will be just in time; we left for california very early this morning, with the wedding on saturday!

i successfully (eventually!) inserted an invisible zipper.  the lining is very shiny!

i used some vintage seam binding, that i’ve had for years, around the hem of the lining.  i tested the blind hem stitch/foot on my sewing machine, but i didn’t like the way it looked.

so i’m sewing it by hand.  probably a very foolish decision at this point, but it’s too late the turn back now!  i suspect i’ll be sewing right up until the big event….
