i recently discovered how incredibly easy (and cheap!) it is to make our own.  cheap may not sound like a factor that would come into play when deciding to make your own yogurt.  but we tend towards local, organic, free-range, yada-yada, and that kinda yogurt in these parts is, like, $8 a quart.  that’s just crazy.  i don’t care how much those cows wandered.

ours comes out mellower and less tangy than store-bought and i like it way more.  of course, adding a spoonful of our new blueberry apple jam doesn’t hurt either.  seriously, that crap is delicious.

so now i can add “making our own yogurt” to the list of “things we make ourselves that are kinda cool but also keep me up way too late.”
