hi folks! for my local friends… just a head’s up that i will be teaching getting to know your sewing machine at clementine in rockland, maine, next saturday, march 21st, from 10:30 – 1.

Have you always wanted to learn how to sew, or are you looking for a refresher course to get you back into the swing of things? In Getting to Know your Sewing Machine, Holly will cover all of the basics, including winding a bobbin, threading the machine, adjusting stitches and changing the needle. Each student will practice the skills they gather by sewing a small project.  You’ll leave class confident in your ability to use your machine on your own!

this is a super-beginner course, and i love teaching it! i love seeing the student’s faces light up as they gain confidence and begin to understand their machine! those things can be intimidating, but we’ll show it who’s boss.

the cost is $40, plus a $5 materials fee.
